Papa comes for a visit

Boat ride on the Neckar River and Stomp Rockets in the park

The kids were in for quite a treat when Papa came to town. We started off our adventures with a boat ride along the Neckar River, where we got to see 4 castles and go through 2 locks (which are devices for raising and lowering boats between stretches of water of different levels on a river).

Papa also brought model airplanes to make with Caden and a stomp rocket for the kids to shoot off. Here is a picture of Caden trying to launch the rocket and throw his airplane at the same time. Those stomp rockets can go really high! Addison is on a basket swing at the park.

Legoland

It has been way too long since I have posted on here, but have decided to get back to it. I will try to catch you up from most recent and go backwards and forwards in time- just for fun to confuse you.

My dad (aka the kids' Papa) came for a visit from the States. Caden, who is 4.5 yrs old, is currently obsessed with Legos- so we decided to go to Legoland for an adventure. Legoland Deutschland is only 2 hours from where we live in Heidelberg.

The Lego City (Landmarks in cities around Europe made of Legos) was amazing. Caden loved driving the Lego car and going on the roller coasters. I was worried that he would be scared to go on the fast ones, but he had a blast. Addison wasn't big enough to go on the ride to drive the cars and when she sat on the stationary Lego car- she said- Mommy, it's broken. Poor thing. But she did get to go on an airplane ride, a canoe ride, the train and the Lego Technik- pedal rollercoaster. Both kids loved the rides where you got wet.

Recommendations: Buy tickets online, bring your own food, bring kids bathing suit if it's hot. Recommended ages 3-16 yrs old.
